Business Visa

Documents Required

All documents listed below are mandatory. Each applicant must submit their own set of documents.

Important: Most documents required for your visa application must be recent and dated within the last 30 days at the time of submission. Ensure all paperwork meets this requirement to avoid delays or rejection.

General Requirements

Visa Application Form

• Fully completed, signed, and dated.

Photograph

• One recent passport-sized colour photograph with a white background (refer to Photograph Requirements).

Passport

• Original passport.
• Valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure date from Spain.
• Must contain at least two blank pages.
• Photocopy of the bio-data page of the passport.

UK Residency

• Provide a UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.

Business-Specific Requirements

(Documents must be recent and dated within the last 30 days at the time of submission.)

Letter of Invitation (Spain-based Company)

• Issued by a registered company in Spain.
• Must state the purpose, duration, and details of the business visit.
• Should be written in Spanish and signed by an authorised representative of the company.

No-Objection Letter

• For Employees: A letter from the employer confirming leave, salary details, and employment start date.
• For Self-Employed Applicants:
  • Copy of business registration/trade licence.
  • Letter from an accountant confirming financial status.
  • Proof of recent tax payments (last year).

Financial & Travel Requirements

Proof of Finance

• Applicants must demonstrate sufficient financial means of at least £100 per day per person, with a minimum of £905 for the entire trip.
• Accepted Documents:
  • Recent (last 3 months) bank statements.
  • Notarised sponsorship letter (if sponsored).

Proof of Travel

• Confirmed round-trip flight tickets (airfare, train, bus, or cruise bookings).

Proof of Accommodation

• Confirmed hotel booking,
• Rental agreement, or
• Invitation letter (Carta de Invitación) issued by the Spanish police or notarised by the Spanish Consulate.

Travel Health Insurance

• A valid Schengen insurance policy with a minimum coverage of €30,000, including medical emergencies and repatriation.

Important Information

• Stapling documents is not permitted.
• All documents must be in English or Spanish. Translations into Spanish are required only if specifically requested.
• Submission of a visa application does not guarantee approval. The Spanish Consulate reserves the right to request additional documentation or interviews.
• All visa decisions, including duration and number of entries, are at the sole discretion of the Spanish Consulate General in London.

Photo Specifications

Provide one recent colour photograph of yourself, dated within 30 days and not previously used in your passport.

Your photograph must meet the following specifications:

• Size: Minimum 26 mm wide × 32 mm high, Maximum 35 mm wide × 45 mm high.
• Quality: Clear, sharp, and in full colour.
• Background: Plain white, ensuring clear contrast and visibility of facial features.
• Appearance: Your face must be centred, clearly focused, and distinguishable against the background.
• Material: Printed on standard photographic paper (no digital or home-printed photos).

Additional Guidelines

• Maintain a neutral expression; keep your face fully visible and unobstructed.
• Prescription glasses are allowed if worn daily. Non-prescription eyewear is not permitted without a medical certificate.
• Head coverings are permitted for religious or medical reasons only, and supporting documentation may be required.
• Uniforms or service attire should not be worn.

Important

• Affix the photo securely but do not staple it to your application form.
• Ensure your photo strictly complies with these criteria; otherwise, your application may be deemed incomplete.
